“I Have Sh50 Million so Money is Not a Big Deal,” Papa Dennis Says as he Releases New Video with Flavour

Gospel music musician Papa Dennies is without a doubt considered as one of the wealthiest musicians in Kenyan and East Africa. Sponsored by monied businessman and manager, Sadat Muhindi, Papa Dennis not only swims in money but his videos are also quite flashy.

So wealthy is their Maliza Umaskini camp that Papa Dennis has been able to book expensive Nigerian stars for collabos.

According to the singer, money is not a big deal and he doesn’t see what the fuss is all about with regards to his wealth. According to reports, the singer has Sh50 million in three different accounts.

“Why should money be such a big talk? I mean, money is just but a means to a cause. I don’t think Sh50 million is cash we should be discussing as this could even be loose change to a 19-year-old footballer playing in the English Premier League. The cash I have is just like that Davido and the rest of the musicians have. No big deal,” Papa Dennis told Pulse, adding that he was humbled that God has blessed him.

Papa Dennis is currently riding high with his new ‘Mayaya’ remix featuring Flavour. He says it didn’t cost him much to have the Nigerian agree on working on the collabo as people would suggest.

“I work under a good and reputable management and the deal was well negotiated between the two teams before we flew to South Africa where most of the video costs were incurred. We hired a chopper and other facilities that cost us some good amount,” he said without disclosing how much.

All You Need to Know About Churchill Show Comedian Duncan ‘Wambilianga’

Whenever he steps on the stage, Churchill Show comedian Duncan Kipkemei Kirwa is a sure bet to crack up his audience.

In just five months, Duncan, 25, who portrays a witty story-telling character Wambilianga, has cemented his place on the comedy show due to his unique style.

With the increasing fame that he seems to be amassing every single day, people have been asking more about the funny man.

He spoke to Buzz and here’s all you need to know.

First things first, how did you end up on the Churchill Show?

It was in August 2017 when Churchill and his team were touring different regions in the country to identify fresh comic talent. I heard of the auditions planned for Eldoret and my friends encouraged me to try. When I got to the auditions on the set date, I found about 100 others ready to fight it out; that made me nervous. But I chose to do my thing as I had prepared to do and when my time came, I cracked up the judges. They loved my sense of humor and when I was picked they recommended me to join the main live recording team that I have remained a part of to date.

Your stage name, Wambilianga, how did it come about?

I started by using my real name, Duncan, on stage. However, it got to a point when I felt I needed to a have a name that identified with the character I portray and Wambilianga was the immediate name that crossed my mind. I find the name to be funny and that’s how I stuck with it.

Your tagline on stage,  ‘Waaaaah’ has become very popular with the crowd and fellow comedians, is it for the show or is it part of your normal way of talking?

Honestly, I never thought it would turn out to be humorous but I guess it did because of the manner in which I pronounce it and before I knew it everybody had noticed. However, I often use it to transition from one joke to another. I am glad it did add some flavour to my style.

You’re from the Rift Valley region but your comic style is heavily borrowed from the Western region?

I know right? My work is to make people laugh and in so doing, I have to look for content that befits my character Wambilianga. Besides, I can comfortably do several accents –  Nigerian, Luhya and coastal. Sometimes my jokes depend on the mood of the day.

How hard is it to make people laugh?

I really don’t know because in most instances whenever I open my mouth people just burst into laughter even when I am not trying to make them. I think am naturally funny, just like Eric Omondi whom the other day posted a picture enjoying a holiday with his girlfriend but the public saw something else and made fun out of it (laughs)!

On a normal day, how do you prepare for a show?

I have a team that I work with headed by my scriptwriter Joyrider with whom I write the jokes. We rehearse them and polish up where necessary. After that, I present it to the Churchill team during the auditions on Tuesday, Wednesday or Thursday who will go over them for approval and if a joke meets the standards I get booked for the live recording show.

Have you ever offended someone with your jokes?

Yes, I have. It has happened several times but not intentionally. One occasion that I remember is when I was cracking a joke about fat people when suddenly a woman in the midst of the crowd stood up and demanded an apology. However, I was lucky as the rest of the audience ganged up and cooled her by asking her to understand that it was a comedy show.

Has being on the Churchill Show changed your life?

Tremendously. Because through that platform I was able to land a job as a radio presenter with Mediamaxx’s Emo FM that broadcasts in Kalenjin. I have also been able to get gigs as an MC and currently, I’m preparing for my USA tour in the next few weeks. It has been a blessing to me.

Has the newfound fame affected you?

Not at all, I’m still the guy next door just doing my usual stuff. It’s just a status, nothing much.

How do you handle the pressure especially from female fans?

I am a family man, got married sometime back, that has at least helped to keep me in check and grounded.

Has it been easy for your wife handling her husbands’ new celebrity status?

At first, it wasn’t easy for her because I got married before fame. We would argue a lot more so when we had shows that required me to travel for a couple of days but over time she got used to it and we have been good.

What is it that you miss before you became famous?

Hahaha! So much stuff but the main one is that I can no longer go to the local pubs and enjoy my pocket-friendly beer ‘Keg’ because paparazzi are always on the lookout and ready to blog with negative stories.

For how long do you plan to keep doing comedy?

As you know comedy has no pension plan and I can’t do this forever. That’s why I have started venturing into various businesses as a contingency plan.

Juliani on Taking Time Off to Rebrand, Big 2018 Projects, Fatherhood, and Brenda Wairimu

Contemporary music rapper Julius Owino, who is better known by his stage name Juliani, is all set for a mega comeback. The ‘Exponential Potential’ rapper has been missing in action for a while now but says 2018 is the year of big projects.

In just the first quarter of the year, the rapper has lined up several concerts including an album launch slated for April 21.

“I am around, though I chose to keep a low profile as I introspect on my life. I was also planning on rebranding so that when I bounce back into the music scene, I can go for another ten to 15 years – nonstop – without sounding monotonous. Simply, put: I took time off to relax and restrategise. I would have chosen to go the easier route – to bounce back and imitate what other successful musicians do. Though, such copy-paste strategies rarely work for the long term,” said Juliani.

“In 2018, I have a lot of projects lined up for my fans. I will be dropping my album on April 21.”

The rapper’s concerts kicked off last weekend with ‘The Kenyan Love Story’ on Saturday, February 10 and Sunday, February 11 at the Kenyatta International Convention Centre (KICC).

The ‘Kenyan Love Story’ is about how citizens of different demographics view the culture and general practice of the Kenyan people,” explained Juliani.

“On March 21, 22, 23 and 24 I will be having back-to-back concerts. The first three days of the four, I will be performing my albums – ‘Mtaa Mentality’, ‘Pulpit kwa Street’ and ‘Exponential potential’.

“On March 24, I will perform a mixture of the three albums; and later on the same date, hold a listening party ahead of the launch of my next album on April 21.”

The rapper, who is a father of a 3-year-old baby girl, Amor, also spoke about fatherhood saying it has been quite an experience.

“Fatherhood is taking me well. Niko poa. Actually, my daughter has begun schooling; she joined school in January 2018. So, anapiga piga raundi huko. Inambamba,” he said.

“I thank God for His grace in helping Brenda and I raise the baby to this stage. There’s no clear manual for bringing up a child, ni guesswork and God’s guidance.

“In this world of today, you can never say you are a hundred percent sure of how to protect your child. It’s God’s guidance which gives the way forward.”

On the alleged break up with Brenda Wairimu, Juliani said; “I don’t think people care genuinely about what’s happening in my private life. Unless one is idle, they don’t care. People often respond to the information you make available to them. If a section of social media users claimed that Brenda and I have broken up, I think they were saying that for fun purposes, nothing serious,” said Juliani.

“I have never given someone any reason to suspect my love life was on the rocks.”

“Brenda and I are doing fine, we’re closely knit. I don’t think there’s any reason for us to fight, or claim that we are at loggerheads.”

On the secret to success, the award-winning musician said it’s all about taking a risk.

“My little secret for success, which could be relative before the eyes of some people, is risk-taking. If one wants to be successful, he or she should never fear trying out new ways of doing things; they should not fear being exposed to vulnerability. If one does not make mistakes, he or she never learns.”

Justo Mzungu Talks About Special Kenyan Lady, Collabo With Khaligraph Jones, and Love for Charity

$

He doesn’t even need an introduction anymore. Justin Bradford, also known as Justo Mzungu or Makanga Mzungu, has been a sensation since we unearthed him in August last year.

A couple of months later, Justo is now a popular YouTube vlogger and more recently a musician.

The American is back in Kenya for the launch of his new music, including a collaboration with Khaligraph Jones.

Here’s what he has to say:

“Justo is an American citizen. When you hear me speaking Swahili don’t think that I am Kenyan. I was born in Portland Oregon, United States, but I lived in Kenya for several years. I used to stay in Kayole, near DO’s area, Masimba and also at Greenspan. I also lived in Upper Hill, Riruta Satellite, and Athi River. While in Kitengela I used to go to a place called Pork City to eat nyama choma.

There are few reasons I love Kenya. One is because there is so much happening in this country. For example, when I saw the President’s son Muhoho Kenyatta reading a speech from his phone with an accent it made me laugh so much and decided to do the Muhoho challenge which was trending at the time. The challenge I did was well received and it is one of the highest watched on my Youtube channel. For me, I just like to make people laugh. When I see people laughing, I’m very happy.

I chose to learn Swahili and not any other language. I love Swahili and it is easy to speak. When I speak Swahili it brings joy to me. I have a feeling that if everyone across the world spoke in Swahili, there would be world peace. I love Kenyan culture.

I have no specific target. I just love all people regardless of their race. I want to speak Swahili with everyone. If we speak Swahili we will all feel as one. To all Kenyans who are following and watching my videos, you make me feel like I am Kenyan and I want to say thank you. Keep watching and following me on my Youtube channel. Let us all be friends.

One day I went to the subway and said ‘Mbao mbao’.  I was happy because I was not arrested for public nuance because the police did not understand what I was saying, but if I had said it in English I probably would have been arrested. When I lived in Kayole I used to use a matatu Sacco called Forward Travellers, so one day I thought to myself why can’t I be a makanga (tout)? So I approached them and told them I wanted to be a tout and they welcomed me. Every day I would call passengers, ushering them in while banging the side of the matatu. That is how I learned the phrase.

The video about ugali made me get noticed especially in Kenya. That video, where I’m cooking ugali, is the one that I can say went viral. I love ugali very much and when I cannot get corn flour I feel depressed. I always cook ugali. There are so many shops which sell East and Western African foods. That is where I always go to do my shopping. The song ‘Fundamentals’ by Ken Wa Maria was playing in the background as I cooked ugali because I love that song very much. It reminded me of my days when I used to live in Athi River. It was very popular at the time.

Apart from ugali I also like other Kenyan delicacies. From chapati, ndengu, managu, even roasted maize on the roadsides. There are those sausages which are sold by the roadside they are very delicious. Mukimo, githeri and especially roasted goat you can never say no to those. Simply said, I just love all Kenyan food and it is one of my favorites.

I love to do both comedy and singing. When I was young, my mother used to sing every time to the point it annoyed me. But overall I still loved it.

I’m in Kenya to launch my new song, “Ukitaka”, which I recently released. “Ukitaka” – which means “If you want” in Swahili – is a heartfelt plea to a lady, which simply goes like, “If you want me, I am here.” I dedicated the song to my Kenyan prospect who we dated and broke up but in the song, I was simply telling her that if she still wants me, I am here. I have a friend who introduced me to Beat Ya Keggah. After we met they agreed to produce my song.

I already have someone special and she is Kenyan. So to all my fans who are telling me to come back to Kenya and get married I already have a Kenyan lady. We met back home, but she could not come back to Kenya with me. Do you know how expensive it is to travel? But we will come together next time.

I also will be collaborating with Khaligraph Jones. I met him the other day and we agreed to do a collabo together before I leave. I will also be doing another video of ‘mbao mbao’ in Kayole soon.

Apart from music and comedy we also have a children’s home In Nakuru. Anything to do with charity I hold it dear in my heart. I love to help whenever I can.”

If you thought ‘Micasa Sucasa’ by the O.G Khaligraph Jones and his ride or die Cashy was fire, his new joint with Petra is hell itself.

Dubbed ‘Rider’, it sees the current face of Kenyan hip-hop team up with one of the ‘baddest’ female rappers to form a lethal combination.

With both being masters of delivery, rhyme, flow, and everything that rap entails, they effortlessly trade mad overs in a fastpaced, punchline-packed five-minute banger. The terrific duo also showcases its versatility and bad-a**ness as they switch between Swahili and English.

In the background, the vocally rich and soulful Sagini contributes amazing vocals to make ‘Rider’ one of the best releases from the 254 this year. If this is just February, then we are not even ready for what is about to hit us, especially from Khaligraph Jones.

The song is produced by Motif at Khaligraph Jones owned Blu Ink studios and the video is directed by the experienced Kevin Bosco Jnr.

Rapper Jackson Makini alias Prezzo is a happy dad after reuniting with his seven-year-old daughter, Zahrie.

This new development in Prezzo’s roller-coaster of a life comes almost five months after the controversial rapper lamented that his relationship with ex-wife, Daisy Kiplang’at was complicated and he had not had any contact with his daughter.

“Marriage life was good because I got a beautiful baby girl out of that. But Daisy loved Jackson Ngechu Makini but hated Prezzo but I couldn’t let go of the brand since I took so long to build it,” said Prezzo last September.

He also disclosed that he never went to court over the custody of his daughter as had been reported.

“I never ever went to court to claim (my daughter) because whatever is put on Google will never be erased. I don’t want my daughter to go on Google and see this conflict between her mum and her dad,” said Prezzo.

“It’s complicated(relationship with Daisy). I think Daisy just needs some time to exhale. I would never ever talk ill about Daisy because she is the mother of my child,” he added.

Five months later, they are in a very good place and doesn’t want to be a player anymore.

“I’m King Mswati, I date so many women, but right now, I’m in a very good place with my daughter and my baby mama, my ex-wife Daisy. So I don’t wanna mess up anything for nothing or for anyone.”

He added: “We’ve patched things up.”

And Prezzo appears to have taken to his fatherly duties effortlessly, taking to his Instagram to share some adorable daddy-daughter moments with the musically talented Zahrie.

In one of the clips he posted over the weekend, Prezzo and Zahrie are seen in a car-karaoke session singing along to Prezzo’s latest hit ‘Vumilia.’

An overjoyed Prezzo wrote: “My Heartbeat on that “VUMILIA” tip…..Runs in the fa-mi-lay,” along with the hashtags #TheMakiniTeam #MyPrincess #Blessed.

As if their singing wasn’t enough to melt Prezzo’s followers’ hearts, he added another clip as they spent ‘Sunday fun day’ together and talked about Zahrie’s dreams.

Why Bahati’s Accuser in Sh200K Fraud Case Has Written to the DPP AGAIN

City businessman Benson Thuranira, the man who is persistently looking for justice after accusing Bahati of fraudulently obtaining Sh200,000 from him, is a frustrated man.

Four months after reporting the matter at the Karuri police station, Benson is yet to get any recourse.

This has prompted the businessman and his legal team to write to the office of the Director of Public Prosecutions for the second time.

The first letter from Kago Muthama and Company was received by the DPP’s office on December 13, with regards to the case recorded in the Occurrence Book on October 28 at Karuri police station.

It read: “Our client reported that he had been defrauded off his Kenya Shillings Two Hundred Thousand (KShs. 200,000/=) by one Kevin Bahati Kioko, a person well known to the complainant, under false pretence that he would get a premise in which they would both operate a business (contents in the said entry). Despite our client having recorded statements thereof and all other relevant witnesses having done the same, the complainant feels that he has not been handled professionally his numerous visits and calls notwithstanding.”

The letter continued, “This letter is to, therefore, request your good offices to intervene and call for the said file with a view to establish the exact position and why justice seems not to be seen to be done.”

In the latest letter, Benson’s lawyers have asked the DPP to provide on the case.

The letter, which was received by the DPP’s office on February 5, read in part, “Kindly but urgently, let us know the position with regards to this file, as our client feels neglected.”

Benson and his lawyers also went to court to seek protection from the OCS of Karuri police station.

According to court documents dated December 6, Benson sought protection against arrest because he believed the OCS  “might arrest him anytime, thereby curtailing his freedom”.

The same document adds that Bahati went to Karuri police station on December 2 and reported that his life was threatened by Benson. This resulted in the OCS, “with various police officers under him, calling Benson and threatening him with arrest”.

The OCS received the same document on December 7.

An order signed by Kiambu principal magistrate J Kituku states that the OCS of Karuri police station cannot arrest or harass Benson, as long as he cooperates with the investigation.

Must Watch: Padi Wubonn Advocates for Road Safety With Hilarious ‘Man’s Not Hot’ Parody

$

Everyone’s favorite internet comedian and parody-maker Padi Wubonn has done it again. The creative and talented content creator and his hilarious team have finally delivered their first installment of the year.

Dubbed ‘Man Hot Spot’, it is a parody of last year’s worldwide hit ‘Man’s Not Hot’ by Big Shaq. While Padi’s parody might have come a little late since the song became a craze and one of the most parodied songs of last year, ‘Man Hot Spot’ is quite different and kills two birds with one stone.

In addition to providing rib-cracking comic relief, this parody sends an important message across about the dangers of drunk driving.

In ‘Man Hot Spot’, Padi and his crew depict the often notorious and controversial breakdown services providers on Kenyan roads. These providers often work in cahoots with traffic police to tow vehicles of traffic offenders for a big payday.

They are usually unforgiving, predatory and often times inebriated(it’s a tough job I reckon), and Padi accurately showcases this as the main man in manning hot spots on Kenyan roads.

Once again, Padi has outdone himself and we already can’t wait for what he drops next. In the meantime, Man Hot Spot will be tickling our funny bones for the foreseeable future.

American born Kenyan singer Victoria Kimani has come out strongly against rape culture following an incident in which she was sexually assaulted while on tour.

The singer had just finished killing a sold-out show in Kisii, Kenya when she was groped as she made her way out of the venue.

The ‘China Love’ singer opened up about the incident on social media, revealing that the culprit was duly slapped by Victoria’s security detail.

“To the guy that grabbed my a$$, That HOT SLAP you got in the Face by the security detail…. You fully deserved it! BOYS Stop touching GIRLS without their consent!” wrote Victoria alongside the hashtag #ENDRAPECULTURE.

In another post, Victoria lectured people who make light of sexual assault saying they are part of the problem.

“RAPE CULTURE is what you are promoting when you laugh or make jokes out of sexual violation, it is when you downplay these actions and BLAME the VICTIM for what was done to them,” the post reads in part.

According to Victoria, she is passionate about ending this vice because she knows close friends who have been molested and had no one to support them.

“You boys (and shockingly girls too) I will pray for you on this good Sunday. There is a special place in HELL for you if you do not stop what you are doing! ” concluded Victoria.

“I’m Done Playing Nice,” Irate DJ Mo Blasts Upcoming Artist Over Sh20K Bribery Allegations

Gospel music disc jockey Sammy Muraya alias DJ Mo has been forced to give his accuser, an upcoming artist by the name Nexxie, his much-needed moment of fame after the singer accused him of obtaining Sh20,000 for airplay.

The little-known singer first accused the CrossOver 101 show resident DJ two weeks ago, and DJ Mo responded in kind and denied the allegations.

Read: “I Drive a Range Rover, What is Sh20,000 to me?” DJ Mo Responds to Allegations of Receiving Bribe

A few days later, Nexxie countered DJ Mo’s by sharing photographic evidence of an M-Pesa transaction of Sh20,000 sent to one Samuel Kanyingi AKA Dj Mo.

The singer narrated how he had skipped some meals and failed to pay rent to raise the amount.

“To them it was, ‘What is 20,000?’ to me it was ‘Everything’.

“I was promised “a raise to stardom” in a period of two months with consistent airplay on high rotation and exposure through interviews.

“I lost my mum when I was only 13 years of age, and since then I promised myself to take care of my now aging father and siblings. So when this opportunity came my way, I had to do all I can in order to raise the amount including not paying rent for that month and skipping some meals.

“To me, it was not just 20,000; it was my whole life,” stated Nexxie.

Nexxie’s remarks have surely attracted the wrath of DJ Mo who took to social media yesterday with a comprehensive explanation of what transpired.

In his Instagram post, DJ Mo unveiled new proof indicating that he had sent the money back to Nexxie’s manager.

Read his post below.

“Nexxie, you’ve been looking for fame through me…hope this shines you the glory you’ve so desperately yearned for. My fans need to know wasup…

Morning watu wangu, I don’t like doing this but allow me to put this one clear. Fame is a bad master and for it..fame, most artists will do anything.

I meet so many people who believe I can help in their musical journey. Also because of my company, system Unit, I honor most meeting because I am always on the lookout for the next big star. Hoping this was one, last year this upcoming artist comes with his manager telling me how famous he wants to be , we talked and I advised him the way that’s a wrong move – he goes home and all of a sudden I see 20k pap on my phone – I sent the cash back to his manager –Joyce Kinyanjui. (screenshot last year Sept) just to be professional. We forgot that story and I started advising him how he in this industry for the wrong reasons – how I have never taken a bribe and so I can’t take his (screenshots) I still keep quiet – all of a sudden he comes back and puts a screenshot of the Mpesa he sent me – not showing the one the money was refunded – hehe he accepts money was reversed to his manager Joyce –

Once again, I don’t ask artistes for money to play their music. I and other leading DJs know what ills the Gospel industry and one of them is backhandedness where an artist will do anything to get airplay whether the music is bad quality or has no message of hope, salvation, Joy, and Love as expected by the standards of the faith we stand for. To avoid such traps where I am independent, I do not take money from artists. Period. If money is sent to me so as to push a song on any of my platforms, I refund it.

The screenshots above are evidence of that. I recently did a post on this. The guy who purports that I asked to be paid to play his music is clearly on a witch hunt. As Y’all can see, he wants to make a name for himself using the wrong channels. Fame, money, and status is what he’s looking for. He also wants to join System Unit family (see screenshots). Surely, when will the selfishness and hate stop?

I’m not into causing scenes. One thing I’ll assure you all is that I’m done playing nice.”

As y’all can see, he wants to make a name for himself using the wrong channels. Fame, money and status is what he’s looking for. He also wants to join System Unit family (see screenshots). Surely, when will the selfishness and hate stop? I’m not into causing scenes. One thing I’ll assure you all is that I’m done playing nice.

Why Lupita Nyong’o Failed to Attend ‘Black Panther’ Premiere in Hometown Kisumu

Kisumu residents were yesterday left disappointed after Oscar-winning actress Lupita Nyong’o failed to turn up for the premiere of ‘Black Panther’.

The film, in which Lupita plays a major role, was screened at the Mega City Mall in Kisumu at 7 pm Tuesday, February 13.

Reports had it that the ’12 Years A Slave’ actress would be gracing the screening in her native hometown but Kisumu County Executive for Tourism, Sports, and Arts -Achieng Ojany Alai – has set the record straight.

Speaking ahead of the premiere, Ms Alai announced Lupita’s absence saying the actress did not assure her followers of her attendance.

“Lupita did not say that she was coming for the premiere. I think we would have all wanted her to come, but her diary is not controlled by the Kisumu County Government; it is her schedule with her producers. However, she has sent all her love and her best wishes. The most important thing is that she has gifted us the movie and Kenya gets to host it. Kenya being the first African nation to have this event, is a great privilege,” said Ms Alai.

The Tourism CEC further stated that all was not lost, given the number of interested foreign and local visitors arriving in Kisumu for the premiere.

“In terms of her not being here, that is not all lost. In terms of numbers coming to Kisumu, it has been an amazing flood of people coming in, including the international media. All the international communities around the lake region have also come into the region; the hotels are reporting great bookings, the airlines are full. That is a good indication that the movie is receiving its due attention. But most certainly that Lupita comes from Kisumu County is an amazing opportunity and that Kenya gets to showcase her talent and we get to be the first to see it!” she said.

In Lupita’s absence, Kisumu Deputy Governor Mathews Owili will be the chief guest at the premiere.

Lupita’s father and Kisumu Governor Prof. Peter Anyang’ Nyong’o, who has been in the U.S. for treatment, arrived yesterday but could not make it.

“Prof. Nyong’o returns to the country today(Tuesday), though he will not make it for the premiere. The rest of the Kisumu County Government is present to represent him, under Deputy Governor Mathews Owili,” said Ms Ojany.

Ojany urged those who traveled far and wide for the premiere of the ‘Black Panther’ not to feel disappointed with Lupita’s absence.

“She is one of our own, she is going nowhere; she belongs to our country. Yes, she is not going to be there for the premiere, but this is her home. She will be in and out as she always does. But that does not mean that since she is not here, we have lost out; that means that we will represent her really well as Kenyans in her absence,” she said.

In the movie, Lupita plays a major role, starring as Nakia, a high-ranking member of the Wakanda royal family.

The film tells the story of T’Challa aka Black Panther, the king of the fictional African nation of Wakanda.

“I can say that Nakia, when we meet her, is a war dog, which means she’s one of Wakanda’s CIA agents,’ Lupita said.

“Her job is to spy around the world and report back to Wakanda to keep Wakanda safe and keep Wakanda informed.”

We were not even ready! Nyashinski, the Kenyan musical gift that keeps on giving has done it again.

The former Kleptomaniax rapper, who has been enjoying a stellar second stint in the music scene, returns with another smash hit titled “Bebi Bebi.”

“Bebi Bebi” is Nyashinski’s sixth solo effort after ‘Now You Know’, ‘Mungu Pekee’, ‘Malaika’, ‘Aminia’, and ‘Hayawani.’

Excellently produced by Ogopa DJs and Cedo’s direction, “Bebi Bebi” is a sweet Afropop love jingle that finds Nyashinki belting his heart out to a special someone.

In addition to Nyashinki’s remarkable vocals and matured lyricism, the song’s deeper message as depicted in the captivating visuals is timely in the wake of a deeply worrying “sponsor” culture.

In the song, Nyashinski expertly delves into the persona of a typically broke but promising boychild who is in love and facing competition from a richer “love” rival. The “Malaika” singer reminds us that love is more than the money and finer things in life.

The video is produced by Blink Productions Ltd and directed by Tosh Gitonga.

“Bebi Bebi” is proving to be a hit among music lovers and the only bad thing about it is that it ends. We will be singing along to this one for quite some time.

Eric Omondi needs to be stopped!! And someone needs to report him immediately to the self-styled President of the Boychild Welfare in Kenya, blogger Nyakundi.

The top funny man has once again made Kenyan men feel inadequate and women green with envy after pulling off another romantic masterstroke.

It was just last month when he welcomed his Italian beauty, Chantal Grazioli, back to the country with a huge billboard after her five-month hiatus in Italy.

And even before we could catch a break, Eric Omondi on Valentine’s Day yesterday gifted the ever smiling Chantal a brand new BMW X6 M Sport.

Once again, the funnyman had the backing of a business entity in automobile trader, Prestige World Motors, who helped make the surprise a success.

Taking to social media, Eric Omondi simply captioned a picture of his beauty and her beast, “HAPPY VALENTINES MY LOVE,” along with some heart emojis.

Eric’s extravagant public display of affection left in its trail an internet storm comprising of dispirited fellas who sought Nyakundi’s intervention, envious hunnies who wondered where they went wrong with their men, and haters who are always there to hate.

East Africa’s top celebrity couple of Diamond Platnumz and Zari Hassan has finally fallen apart.

The Ugandan businesswoman appears to have finally had enough of the singer’s philandering ways and called it quits. And she did it in style, choosing to make the big announcement as lovers all over the world celebrated Valentine’s Day.

Citing Diamond’s alleged flings with a bevy of beauties, Zari said that it was “very difficult” for her to end the relationship.

The mother of five stated that her respect, dignity, integrity, and well-being cannot be comprised.

“There have been multiple rumors some with evidence floating around in ALL SORTS of media in regards to Diamond’s constant cheating and sadly I have decided to end my relationship with Diamond, as my RESPECT, INTEGRITY, DIGNITY & WELL BEING cannot be compromised,” Zari’s post on Instagram reads in part.

She, however, noted that they are separating as partners but not as parents.

Her post reads:

“Understand that this is very difficult for me to do.

There have been multiple rumors some with evidence floating around in ALL SORTS of media in regards to Diamond’s constant cheating and sadly I have decided to end my relationship with Diamond, as my RESPECT, INTEGRITY, DIGNITY & WELL BEING cannot be compromised.

We are separating as partners but not as parents. This doesn’t reduce me as a self-made individual, and as a caring mother, and the boss lady you have all come to know. I will continue to build as a mogul, I will inspire the world of women to become boss ladies too. I will teach my four sons to always respect women, and teach my daughter what self-respect means.

Unlike many, I’ve been in the entertainment industry for 12 years, and through all my challenges I came out a victor because I am a winner, and so are all of you Zari supporters. HAPPY VALENTINE’S.”

The break up comes in the wake of a new development in a child support case by Tanzanian model Hamisa Mobetto against Diamond.

The case was thrown out of court this week after the former lovers reached an out of court agreement. Could Diamond have gone behind Zari’s back to reach this agreement? We can only speculate.

The split has been months in the making since Diamond confessed to cheating on Zari with Hamisa but it has still taken the continent by surprise.

A majority of Zari’s over 3.6 million Instagram followers hailed Zari’s decision while others were crushed to see one of their favorite love stories come to an unhappy ending.

The next few weeks will be interesting to watch and it is expected Diamond will get back together with the much younger Hamisa Mobetto.

The Tanzanian singer can also expect to be served with fresh child support court papers from the self-styled boss lady, Zari.

Sportpesa Boss “Can’t Decide What To Buy” Between a Batmobile and F1 Car [Photos]

Because we are mandated to inform you about how your hard-earned Sportpesa “investments” are spent, allow us to update you on the current situation. It is dire! As you already know, Sh230 Million of our money has already been won by Gordon Ogada Paul.

And as we speak, our countless Sh100 losses, combined with our friends’ and relatives’ losses, could be buying Sportpesa CEO Ronald Karauri a Batmobile. Yes! You read that right…Batman’s official vehicle could be coming to Nairobi roads!!

The former Kenya Airways pilot is undoubtedly one of the wealthiest businessmen in the country. With a 6% stake in Sportpesa, he has the resources to ride expensive. And I don’t mean Range Rover expensive, Karauri is not a mere peasant.

He was recently spoilt for choice between a Batmobile and Formula 1 car while gallivanting in the United Kingdom.

In fact, he has decided against spending our Sportpesa “investments” on a Bugatti. Jesus Christ!! I told you the situation is dire!

He first spotted the Batmobile at the Exhibition Centre in London(ExCel) before posing with a Formula 1 race car at the Silverstone Circuit.

Taking to social media, Karauri showcased his sense of humor as he joked about wanting to buy the unbuyable big boy toys.

Posing next to the mean-looking Batmobile, he wrote: “F*** Bugatti.. I’ve decided to get myself the BatMobile.”

In a subsequent post, and posing next to an F1 car, he joked: “Decisions, decisions… #Batmobile or #Formula1.”

The lad is too rich he has expensive jokes!!
