The first Kingsman: The Golden Circle trailer introduces Statesman, Kingsman’s U.S. counterpart.

There, Eggsy (Taron Egerton) and his friends meet elite agents played by Channing Tatum, Halle Berry, Jeff Bridges, and Pedro Pascal. Also reporting for duty is Julianne Moore as the new villain.

Expect lots more explosive action, raunchy jokes, and goofy gadgets. And, by the looks of it, so much American spirit that we’re deep into (affectionate) parody territory.

The two will be co-hosting Hot96’s morning show ‘Hot Breakfast’ every weekday from 6 am to 10 am starting this Thursday.

A video promo released by Citizen TV all but confirms the new arrangement which is set to make Jeff and Jalas the highest paid radio presenters in the country.

Confirming negotiations earlier in the year, Jalas said he was offered an amount that is “almost irresistible”.

Wedding bells are ringing for one of Kenya’s well-established gospel music producers, Jacob Otieno popularly known as Jacky B.

The producer popped the big question and a diamond encrusted ring to his longtime girlfriend and baby mama Brenda Michelle in a dinner set up over the weekend.

“I love her so much. So I put a ring on it!’’ wrote the producer on social media.

The producer, who is behind most of Kenya’s biggest gospel hits, proposed to Michelle as musician Pitson performed an acapella.

Jacky B and Brenda have a one-year-old daughter Iman Atemi who was born last year and turns one in May.

Brenda is a cinematographer and editor.

Kevin Ombima, best known by his performance name King Kaka (formerly Rabbit), has never shied away from showing his softer side on social media circles.

From his baby mamas to his daughters, the rapper sure does know how to appreciate the special women in his life.

On Tuesday, it was his mother’s turn to be appreciated and showered with praise as she turned a year older on Wednesday.

The Mr 254 rapper took to Facebook to celebrate his mom, Elizabeth, and introduce his brothers, Dennis and Calvin.

In his post, King Kaka shared a personal incident that took place years ago when his mother was selling fruits in Industrial area.

Kaka, being the doting son he is, would help his mom with the business and on a particular day, he was arrested by Nairobi’s City Council askaris.

What ensued was his mother coming to his rescue so he wouldn’t miss his college exams.

The year was 2014 and the month was October when Kenya’s top boy band Sauti Sol flew the Kenyan flag high by scooping the MTV EMA award for Best African Act.

Consequently, the Afro-pop band became the first Kenyan music act to ever receive the award, validating both them and Kenyan music as a force to reckon with globally.

To scoop the prestigious gong, the ‘Sura Yako’ hitmakers beat other African artistes — Davido (Nigeria), Diamond (Tanzania), Toofan (Togo) and Goldfish (South Africa).

The win also saw Sauti Sol move into the final round as one of the 10 nominees in the INTERNATIONAL WORLDWIDE ACT category.

Strangely, the four-member band never officially received the award until two days ago and close to three years later.

Taking to social media, Sauti Sol, their manager Marek Fuchs, their publicist Anyiko Owoko, and band member Chimano all celebrated the arrival of the award.

Weeks after music duo Amos and Josh pulled down their video for ‘Heri Tuwachane’ after Amos’ ex-girlfriend got offended by the song and threatened suicide, the girl has spoken up.

Cindy, a young lawyer at a leading law firm in Upper Hill, Nairobi, has blamed the duo’s manager Ally Ady for driving a wedge between them.

“We have been lovers for such a long time even way before Tusker Project Fame. Throughout those days, I have always taken a back seat even when Amos has publicly denied ever having a girlfriend but now that they are making money, Ally wants me out yet he adds no value to them,” Cindy explained.

But Ally insists Cindy is bad company for Amos and her frequent antics remain a threat to the duo’s music career.

“We pulled down the “Heri Tuachane” video after a suicide note was found in her room by her parents and we have incurred lots of expenses and lost time due to their individual misunderstanding,” said Ally.

“After consultation with the lady and her parents we have come to an amicable understanding and they have now understood the song/video was NOT directed to her.”

In another statement, the former Tusker Project Fame contestants have said they are working towards reuploading the video.

“As you are aware, we pulled down the “Heri Tuachane” video due to some misunderstanding between Amos and his ex-girlfriend that turned a bit unfriendly and almost tragic. After consultation with the lady and her parents we have come to an amicable understanding and they have now understood the song/video was NOT directed to her. So we are in the process of re-uploading the video as we speak.  All of AJ family should keep calm and expect more great content from us.”

Ex-diplomat turned singer Gilad Millo has released a sizzling new song!

Dubbed ‘Say Nanana’, the project is a collaborative effort between the ‘Unajua’ singer and Grammy Award winning Israeli violinist Miri Ben-Ari.

Miri Ben-Ari is an Israeli-American violinist and philanthropist also known as The Hip Hop Violinist.

She has previously worked with the likes of Kanye West, Jay Z, Maroon5, Twister among others.

Speaking about his relationship with Miri, Gilad said: “Well, Miri and I go way back. We met about 10 years ago when I was in LA for a concert. We then met again at a coffee shop where we exchanged headphones. She played for me her music and I played her mine. We loved each other’s music and the rest is history. We have been buddies since then.”

He added that there are plans to hook her up with more Kenyan artists.

“She has not been to Africa before but we have ideas to hook her up with other talented Kenyan artists so that they can make beautiful music together. She is a down to earth person and very humble. She is a nice person to work with.”

Leading in nominations is celebrated disc jockey Dj Sadic who bagged five nominations for DJ Of The Year, TV Show Of The Year – Tukuza, Video Of The Year – Overflow, Ragga/Reggae Song Of The Year – Holyghost Party and Ragga/Reggae Song Of The Year – Paza Sauti.

There could be a new beef in the making pitting self-proclaimed president, Prezzo, against a self-proclaimed King, King Kaka.

This after the controversial rapper and former Big Brother contestant took to social media to issue a noteworthy threat to his fellow rapper in sensational style.

Posting a clip of his ‘cousin sister’ firing a firearm at an unidentified gun range, Prezzo warned the ‘Mr 254’ rapper to watch his mouth or else his gun-toting ‘cousin sister’ would take care of him.

Prezzo’s reason for picking up beef with King Kaka remains unknown for now, but sources allege that the former Kenya Big Brother representative has not been himself lately, especially after his split with fiancee Michelle Yola.

The threat against King Kaka come days after Prezzo was involved in another beef of sorts with Colonel Mustapha after the ‘Loboko’ hitmaker hinted at a ‘liaison’ with Yola.

Mustapha, Yola’s co-star on the reality show Nairobi Diaries, said that they have shot a scene together which is yet to be aired.

“Yes, we have a scene together and it will be interesting to watch,” Mustapha bragged.

Bahati has traced his roots to Ukambani where he finally got to meet his centenarian grandfather, Mr. Ndivo.

The gospel singer, whose mother died aged 7 and was raised in a children’s home, took to his social media pages to break the news.

His visit to Makueni comes after he was accused on social media circles of neglecting his grandfather.

He captioned the clip: “After Many Years without Seeing him_ I left the City to go and trace my roots ‘ Visited GrandpA; Father to my Late Mum Lucia, Memorable & humbling Moments With this Man that God has kept for Over 102 years..”

Popular radio presenter Nick Odhiambo has parted ways with Classic 105 FM.

Nick, who doubles up as a voice over artists, leaves the Radio Africa owned radio station after ten years and six months.

He broke the news on social media, writing: “10 years and 6months is a really long time. Today is our last LarryNickandFriends show!!!!!”

He co-hosted the show alongside Larry Asego.

Following the announcement, it was reported that his next destination is Standard Group’s Radio Maisha where he was expected to fill the void left by Phelix Odiwuor aka Jalang’o who has since teamed up with Jeff Koinange at Hot96.

Fast rising Kenyan boy band Le Band has a new single dubbed ‘For You.’

Le Band is a music quartet comprising Fidel Eli Shammah, Ken Mwendwa, Joel Maina and Abe Kiptanui. The group has been together for roughly three years now, with their January release -‘Number 1’ featuring the sultry Suzziah – being considered the group’s big breakthrough.

They have also previously worked with Khaligraph Jones in ‘Kantai.’

Following the success of ‘Number 1’, the guys are not resting on their laurels and present their new project – ‘For You’ – a beautiful and deeply moving song about being there for those you love.

Le Band’s lead vocalist Fidel Eli Shammah had this to say about the song:

“So the new song we just released is basically about being there for those you love. The inspiration came at a time when I had fallen for some chic (kulinuka btw, Let us avoid follow up questions) and I was just thinking I always want to be there for you. For the second time in a row, controversial gospel stars Willy Paul and Bahati have been given the cold shoulder by Groove Awards.

The Groove nomination night was held on Tuesday night 2nd April at UON’s Chandaria Towers with the two singers missing on the list of nominees.

After they were snubbed last year, it was generally believed they would get their acts right and hopefully get nominated this year and maybe scoop an award or two.

Well, nothing they have done over the last year has been enough to convince people they uphold Christian values.

They have especially not been helped by their recent ventures to Tanzania to work with Diamond Platnumz’ Wasafi label.

Explaining the reason why young gospel kids were not in the list, a representative of Groove, Pastor Patric Kuchio said;

“This year, we have made bold steps. We have left people intentionally whose character does not represent Christian values. ”

He added: “Character matters. When it comes to groove, whether it is showbiz or entertainment character matters.”

Interestingly, Bahati was a no-show for the nomination while Willy Paul walked out disappointed before the show could officially end.
